Poker OddsPot Odds is the relationship between the bet and the amount currently in the pot. For example if your bet is $1 and theres $8 in the pot then the pot odds are 8 to 1. Implied Odds is the relationship between the bet and the amount you expect to win, so you take into account what you might win if you make your hand and get more bets off other players which havent currently been made and therefore are not yet in the pot. Odd are important when you are playing and do not currently have the best hand but theres still cards to come and you have the possibilty of improving to the best hand, i.e making a straight or flush, or hitting an overcard.
